Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer, Runtown has come out to openly claim songwriting credits for Davido’s smash hit ‘Aye.’
He made this known in response to a fan’s question on the issue and stated that he wrote the song as well as co-produced it.
The multi-talented singer shared this information while holding a QnA session on Twitter which has become a fast favourite of musicians to stay closer in these times.
Faced with the who wrote Aye question, he'd answered; "I wrote it. And also co-produced it. Nothing wrong in using song writers if you write song for me and I like am I go sing am."
This statement from Runtown crediting himself for writing Aye, however, contradicts Davido himself who in a video, emphatically credited producer Tspize for solely writing and producing the record.
