Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Oluwafemi Oladapo, popularly known as Slimcase, has revealed that he and superstar singer, Wizkid used to be good friends, but they are no longer close due to change in status.
He opened up about his relationship with Machala during an Instagram live session with fans, explaining that Wiz did not cut him off as many might be thinking.
According to Slimcase, the reason he and the Grammy-winning artiste stopped being close buddies is because the Starboy has transcended to higher levels.
The “Shaku Shaku Master” said he was the one who fell off because he failed to make significant progress musically, while Wiz advanced so that affected their relationship.
He said: “I know Wizkid when he was Wizkid, but I am not close to him when he is Big Wiz. He has climbed high mountains, and I couldn’t catch up with him, so I fell off. He didn’t cut me off.”
