In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido reveals what his dad told him after he lost his 3 Grammy nominations.
Recall that it was a poor outing for Davido and other Nigerian artistes at the 66th Grammy Awards that was held on Sunday, February 4th in Los Angeles, USA.
Davido who bagged 3 nominations for the first time including Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance lost all the multiple nominations.
Following the setback at the Grammys, Davido assures the fan that he will continue to deliver and then captures the hearts of many with his adorable photos with his wife Chioma.
However, Davido in an interview with Rolling Stone – a renowned American monthly magazine, the singer responded to some questions after losing the awards.
According to the singer, being a Grammy-nominated artiste is a win for him because he is already being recognized by the organizers of the prestigious award.
Disclosing what his billionaire dad, Adedeji Adeleke told him after missing out on the Grammy Awards, Davido said that even though his father never supported him at the beginning of his career, he showered him with some words of encouragement.
He said that his father calls him and told him that he is still a legend no matter what happened at the Grammys.
In his words; “My father told me no matter what happened at the Grammys I’m still a legend…”
