Nollywood was thrown into mourning earlier today, Monday, 24th November 2025, following the sudden death of popular actor and comedian Odira Nwobu.
It was reported that Odira Nwobu died in South Africa after returning from a night outing. According to eyewitnesses, the actor allegedly suffered health complications believed to be linked to high blood pressure.
His death comes just months after he survived a serious accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, an incident that already left many fans worried about his wellbeing.
In the middle of the grief, fellow actor Daddy Billy sparked emotional reactions after sharing a video he recorded with the late actor just two hours before his death.
Daddy Billy posted the now-viral footage on his Facebook page, expressing heartbreak and disbelief over how quickly life can change. In the clip, Odira Nwobu appeared cheerful and energetic while in the club in South Africa, unaware that it would be one of his final moments.
“It’s a useless world we live in. I just recorded this video with him two hours ago. Rest in peace my brother.”
