Award-winning rapper Nicki Minaj has spoken candidly about what she described as a long-running spiritual battle in the music industry, claiming that certain powerful individuals created obstacles throughout her career.
The rapper made the remarks during an appearance on The Bryce Crawford Podcast, where she reflected on her journey in entertainment and the challenges she believes happened behind the scenes.
According to Minaj, she entered the music industry without fully understanding what she now sees as its spiritual dimension, adding that many artists eventually encounter similar experiences.
Speaking on the issue, she explained that she often felt unprepared for the battles she faced throughout her career.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight without having that information,” she said.
Minaj also suggested that some influential figures in the industry may view artists primarily as sources of profit and could make things difficult for those who choose not to align with certain expectations.
When asked about rumours surrounding the Illuminati, the rapper neither confirmed nor denied its existence. However, she said she does not personally believe her own experience is connected to a secret society.
Instead, Minaj said she feels that some individuals intentionally made aspects of her career more difficult.
“My situation, I feel like it’s very personal. I feel that there definitely is a group of people who have made things very difficult for me, but I don’t know if they’re Illuminati,” she stated.
Her comments have since generated reactions online, with fans debating the realities of fame, industry pressure, and the personal struggles artists may experience while navigating the entertainment world.
Minaj remains one of the world’s most successful female rap artists, with a career spanning nearly two decades.
