Nollywood actress Judy Austin has publicly responded to allegations made by her ex-husband, Mr. Obasi, while defending her husband, Yul Edochie.
Her reaction comes after Mr. Obasi recently spoke publicly about their failed marriage, making claims that sparked conversations online.
In an emotional statement, Judy expressed frustration over what she described as repeated public attacks from her former spouse. She questioned why he continues to speak about her publicly while, according to her, failing to show proof of financially supporting their children or making legal efforts to gain custody.
She also appealed to bloggers and social media users to stop directing criticism and insults at Yul Edochie, insisting that he has done nothing wrong.
According to Judy, Yul has played an active role in caring for and supporting her children, providing stability and stepping in as a father figure.
She further alleged that her ex-husband abandoned his parental responsibilities and described him as a “deadbeat,” while praising Yul for helping raise children who are not biologically his.
In her words:
“It hurts. Not once has he brought out evidence of taking care of these kids. Not once has he brought out any evidence of coming to court for custody. But he has a lot to say about me.
Please, I am warning all you bloggers, stop insulting Yul Edochie. He has done nothing, absolutely nothing. If anything, he has helped me take care of kids that are not his biological children.
When the man that gave birth to them abandoned them, he helped me become both parents in their lives and put a roof over their heads. If anything, people should praise him for being kind and supportive.”
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with social media users sharing different opinions on the family dispute.
