Popular Nollywood actress Susan Peters has raised alarm after her phone was allegedly stolen during the Service of Songs held in honour of late actor Alexx Ekubo in Lagos.
The emotional gathering, which took place at Monarch Event Centre, brought together family members, friends, and several celebrities, including Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Stan Nze, who all paid their final respects dressed in white.
Taking to Instagram, Susan Peters revealed that her white iPhone 16 Pro Max, which contains her foreign phone number, was stolen from her bag during the event.
Appealing to the person responsible, the actress urged them to return the device, warning that it can easily be tracked.
“Just return it please. It will be traced, so don’t bother selling it too, because everyone will enter trouble. Please just return it,” she wrote.
Sharing further details about the unfortunate incident, Peters disclosed that she was not the only victim, claiming that more than ten phones were reportedly stolen during the memorial service.
Expressing disappointment, she questioned how anyone could commit such an act at such a solemn occasion.
“After the preaching yesterday, how do people come to such an emotional event and still have the guts to steal? Even after all Jerry Eze preached?” she lamented.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many social media users condemning the alleged theft and calling for those responsible to be brought to justice.
