A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after recounting an embarrassing incident that occurred during a church service.
The lady, identified on X as @Ola_sun_kanmi, revealed that she unexpectedly fell asleep beside the altar while participating in a prayer session with some elderly members of the congregation.
According to her, the church had organized a prayer session, and she joined a group of older worshippers who had gathered close to the altar. However, during the prayers, she dozed off without realizing it.
When the prayer session ended, everyone returned to their seats, leaving her asleep beside the altar.
She explained that she eventually overheard the clergyman asking about her as an usher approached to wake her up.
Recalling the awkward moment, she wrote:
“I woke up and stretched in front of the whole church. I was still stretching when I became fully aware of my environment. I froze for a second before I quietly looked for the nearest seat. The embarrassment.”
Her post quickly gained attention on social media, with many users finding the incident both hilarious and relatable.
