A lady has stirred widespread reactions on social media after openly sharing the conditions any man must meet before she would consider getting married.
In a video that has since gone viral, the woman stated that she has no intention of taking on traditional domestic responsibilities in marriage, explaining that her career goals and preferred lifestyle come first.
According to her, marriage would not require her to put her professional ambitions on hold or become a stay-at-home mother. She added that she does not plan to cook, clean, or contribute financially to household bills.
“I’m not going to clean. I’m not going to do any house chores. I’m not going to cook because I have a career. I’m not going to pause my career for any man. I’m not going to be a stay-at-home mum. I’m not going to help you with any bills. I’m not going to be a traditional wife,” she said.
The lady further explained that maintaining her appearance is one of the reasons she avoids domestic chores.
“I don’t cook and I don’t clean because my manicure is expensive. If you can’t afford a chef, a cleaner, a nanny, then you can’t marry me. I’m not going to be doing all that. My nails are expensive. I’m not using them to scrub or clean,” she added.
She also made it clear that any man who cannot provide that lifestyle should not pursue a relationship with her.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online. While some social media users defended her right to set personal standards and expectations for marriage, others argued that successful relationships often require compromise and shared responsibilities between partners.
