“Tinubu Deserves More Time” — Adeleke Throws Weight Behind President’s 2027 Bid

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has publicly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing regional balance and ongoing development efforts under the current administration.

Speaking to journalists on Nigeria’s political future, Adeleke said his decision was influenced by the belief that it remains the South’s turn to produce the country’s president. He also pointed to Tinubu’s ties to Osun State as another reason for his endorsement.

The governor commended the President for releasing funds to state governments, noting that the financial support has enabled governors across the country to undertake development projects and improve infrastructure within their states.

Adeleke further stressed the need for patience in assessing the performance of elected leaders, arguing that reforms and policies require time to yield meaningful results.

“I am supporting President Tinubu because he has roots in Osun State, and because it is the turn of the South. Nigerians should please give him time to implement his reforms,” Adeleke said.

“He has also made efforts in releasing funds to state governors to support development across the federation,” he added.

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, Adeleke’s endorsement is expected to spark discussions about emerging alliances and the direction of Nigeria’s political landscape.
